Anastasiia Marsheva studied Linguistics at Kazan Federal University (Russia) and East-West Studies at the University of Regensburg. Since October 2022, she has been a doctoral candidate at the International Graduate Center for the Study of Culture at Justus Liebig University Giessen. In her dissertation, she deals with pan-ethnic identities of people with a migration background from 'Central', 'Eastern' and 'Southeastern Europe' (such as Post-Eastern). During her studies in the Master's program "East-West Studies" at the University of Regensburg, she dealt with relations between 'Western' and 'Eastern Europe' from an interdisciplinary perspective and wrote her Master's thesis entitled "The self-image of young people from Russia" on the influence of anti-European discourses on the identity formation process of young people from Russia.
