Dr. Anna Kurpiel is an ethnologist and cultural anthropologist and is Assistant Professor at the Willy Brandt Centre for German and European Studies at the University of Wroclaw. Her research interests focus on cultural heritage, especially within border regions, or nations undergoing transition, alongside the anthropology of memory. She conducts her research in Western Poland and the Republic of North Macedonia.
