Bianca Bran

Bianca Hepp (née Hepp) studied South Slavic Studies, Southeast European Studies and a Master's degree in Slavic Languages, Literatures and Cultures in Jena. She then worked in Tübingen at the Institute for Danube Swabian History and Regional Studies (IdGL) as coordinator of the Centre for German History and Culture in Southeast Europe (ZDGS) and as a research assistant at the Ludwig Uhland Institute for Empirical Cultural Studies (LUI). She is currently a doctoral candidate in Empirical Cultural Studies at the University of Tübingen. As part of her dissertation project, she is investigating how descendants of "(late) repatriates" from the village of Hamroth in Romania negotiate their sense(s) of belonging. Her research focusses on affiliations, concepts of Eastern and South-Eastern Europe, migration, mobility and post-migrant society in the Federal Republic of Germany.
