Cäcilia Wosnitzka, MA/Mgr. is a research associate at the Institute of Contemporary History at the University of Vienna. Her doctoral project deals with the (exile) biographies of political emigrants from the People's Republic of Poland who sought political asylum in the Federal Republic of Germany from the late 1960s onwards. The political thinking of these actors and the diasporic spaces they initiated are examined as part of the history of ideas and democracy in the Federal Republic before 1993.
Cäcilia Wosnitzka completed the German-Polish double master's program in European Studies between the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder) and the Uniwersytet im. Adama Mickiewicza in Poznań (2018-2021). Her master's thesis on the Eastern Europe Information Pool was awarded in the competition for the 'Scientific Award of the Polish Ambassador under the auspices of the Polish Academy of Sciences 2022 / 2023'.
