Jörn Barfod studied art history, folklore, prehistory and early history in Kiel and Vienna and received his doctorate in 1984. He is curator and deputy director at the East Prussian State Museum in Lüneburg. He is the author of numerous writings, primarily on the art and cultural history of East Prussia.
