Edwin Warkentin has headed the Cultural Office for Russian Germans at the Museum for Russian-German Cultural History in Detmold, which is funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, since 2017. Warkentin, who holds a degree in philology, was an advisor to the Federal Commissioner for Aussiedler from 2010 to 2013 and then worked as a research assistant in the German Bundestag.
