Dr. Gleb Kazakov received his doctorate in Freiburg im Breisgau on the history of Western European relations in the early modern Moscow Empire. Since 2019, he has been a research assistant at the Chair of Eastern European History at Justus Liebig University in Giessen. In addition to his research focus on the pre-modern history of Eastern Europe, he is currently working on his habilitation project on the environmental and everyday history of the later Soviet Union.
