Dr. Jakob Stürmann is a research associate at the German-Israeli Research Training Group “Belongings: Jewish Material Culture in Twentieth-Century Europe and Beyond” at the University of Leipzig. His research focuses on Eastern European Jewish history and culture of modernity, the history of the labor movement and the history of migration. In the summer of 2024, he spent three months at the Kislak Center for Special Collections, Rare Books and Manuscripts at the University of Pennsylvania. There he helped with the cataloging of the Ben Zion Goldberg archive holdings.
