Kamila Lenartowicz (previously Storz) studied Art History at the University of Wrocław, Poland, and completed her PhD at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany where she also worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Architectural History. Since April 2019, she has been an employee of the Bet Tfila - Research Unit for Jewish Architecture in Europe at the Technical University of Braunschweig in Germany. In her writings, Lenartowicz has focused on the architectural history of former East Prussia. At the Bet Tfila, she worked on the project on synagogue building in East Prussia. From the beginning of November 2024 she will be part of the team working on the project “Zerbrechliche Nachbarschaft. Gedenkbuch der Synagogen und jüdischen Gemeinden in Hessen“ at the Goethe University in Frankfurt Main.
