Dr. Katarzyna Maniak is an assistant professor at the Institute of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology, Jagiellonian University in Kraków. Her areas of interest include the institutionalization of culture, approaches to difficult heritage, and the social impact of heritage. She is also involved in research focused on the concept of ownership and the anthropology of labor. She conducts research in Western and Southern Poland.
