The Art Forum East German Gallery (Kunstforum Ostdeutsche Galerie, KOG) is an art museum with an outstanding collection ranging from Romanticism to Modernism and a unique focus on art creation in Eastern Europe. You can discover paintings, sculptures and graphic art by many renowned German artists who lived and worked here in the past. Many of them have left their mark on Western European art history – for example Lovis Corinth, Käthe Kollwitz, Bernard Schultze or Markus Lüpertz. The museum takes a look beyond art history to the artists' places of origin and activity, and at the same time presents current art developments in Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe in its exhibitions.
