Dr. Oxana Matiychuk (*1977) studied German and Ukrainian Studies at the Yuri Fedkovych University in Chernivtsi/Czernowitz. In 2010, she completed her doctorate on the topic “Genesis of the poetic text in the work of Rose Ausländer” at the Taras Shevchenko Institute for Literature at the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences in Kyiv. She is deputy head of the university's International Office and teaches at the Chair of Foreign Literary History and Literary Theory at Chernivtsi Yuriy Fedkovych University. Oxana Matiychuk heads the Ukrainian-German Cultural Society Chernivtsi at the Gedankendach Center and has been involved in humanitarian aid since the beginning of the war of aggression.
