Dr. phil. habil, is a staff member at the Federal Institute for Culture and History of the Germans in Eastern Europe (BKGE) in Oldenburg. He works on urban history and social space, Russian-German and post-Soviet migration history and post-migrant presence, and the history of German "Ostforschung."
