Born in Hanover in 1955, Wolfgang Crasemann has a Master’s degree in economics. Now retired, he worked for many years as head of division in the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection. He has a close relationship with Renate Marsch-Potocka, his mother's sister. With reference to many personal documents and interviews, he has written a biography about her life, which has so far only been circulated among a small circle of friends and family.
