Would you like to expand existing knowledge about German culture and history in Eastern Europe through new research findings and present your work in a university teaching context? Within the framework of its Academic Support Program, the BKM promotes scientific research projects ("Projects" module) and supports the qualification of young academics ("Junior Professorships" module).
Text
This research will deal specifically with regions where, for centuries, Germans have worked together with their neighbors under politically and denominationally challenging and changing circumstances and have created a diversity of cultural traditions.
Higher education institutions (e.g. universities) and non-university organizations (e.g. research institutes) based in Germany are invited to submit proposals.
Currently, for the years 2021-2023, the BKM is calling for projects that deal with "Transnational Economic History. Germans in Eastern Europe and their Economic Networks" and "Germans from Eastern Europe in Global Contexts and Interconnections." In addition, the BKM is currently funding junior professorships in Osnabrück and Dresden.
