In this map, published around 1919-1920, the Russian imperial-oriented intellectual Timofej Florinskij presents his ethnographic view of the former Tsarist Empire. In his cartography of the southwestern territories of the Tsarist Empire, Ukrainians and Belarusians are incorporated into the Russian nation as “Russians,” while the Polish nation is depicted as small as possible.
