Russia's war against Ukraine has highlighted the great need for in-depth knowledge of the region and its background. The GWZO in Leipzig, in cooperation with other Leibniz Association institutions, has developed two e-learning courses that provide an introduction to one thousand years of Ukrainian history and the development of the country and society since Ukraine's independence in 1991.
