Jana Stöxen studied Intercultural European and American Studies (Interkulturelle Europa- und Amerikastudien or IKEAS) and Political Sciences in Halle (Saale) and Cluj-Napoca, Romania and East-West Studies with a focus on cultural and political studies in Regensburg. She has been research assistant at the IKDE, the Institut für Kulturanalyse der Deutschen des östlichen Europa, since 2025. She is currently doing a doctorate on transnational migration and the negotiation of belonging in the Moldovan-German context at the University of Regensburg.
