Dr. Katja Wezel, born in Jena, grew up in Greiz/Thuringia and Heidelberg/Baden-Württemberg. 1999-2004 Studies of History and English at the Universities of Heidelberg, Wales/Aberystwyth and the EUSP St. Petersburg. 2011 Doctorate (Dr. phil.) at the Ruprecht-Karls-University of Heidelberg. 2013-2018 DAAD Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh, 2018-2021 and from 2023 on Research Associate at the University of Göttingen, 2021-2023 Feodor Lynen Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation at the University of Latvia in Riga.
