The Martin Opitz Library is constantly expanding its stocks – both in terms of volume and by recording and making them available. In order to future-proof the associated processes and offerings, the institution has launched a new consolidation project.
Text
The project consists of three parts. On the one hand, the metadata of some of the digitized material in the electronic reading room will be revised and extended in the course of the project. In the conventional library area, three sub-collections will be processed and indexed. Theis involves comparing and cataloguing of the holdings of the former library of the Cultural Foundation of the German Expellees, processing Herbert Ludat's collection of short writings and processing the Wroclaw collection of Horst G. W. Gleiss. The third project component involves monitoring the planned IT migration and consolidating existing IT systems.
