Professional development, exchange and networking on a wide range of library science and cultural history topics – this is the aim of the VOE conferences, which are organized every two years by the Martin Opitz Library.

Every two years the Martin Opitz Library organizes an international academic conference on the history and culture of the Germans in Eastern Europe. The conferences take place in one of the Central Eastern European countries in cooperation with partner libraries and usually with other local partner institutions.
